Habitat - Indoor :: 2 Full grown turtles.

I have a RES and a YBS, there about 4 inches right now, i want to upgrade to a bigger tank, i was wondering if anybody has 2 full grown turtles, and how big their aquarium is. I know the rule of 10 gallons per inch, but i will not be able to get a 200 gallon aquarium when they are fully grown. I was wondering if 120-150 gallons will be sufficient for two full grown turtles?

I dont want to give them up, but i dont want them to be at a disadvantage, anyone with feedback would help, Thanks

If one (or both) is a female, a 120-150 gallon would be good for just ONE turtle when she is full grown.

I am not completely sure yet, bc the determining factors are not obvious yet, however i do believe they are both males.

If they are both males, and you don't end up having to separate them, you might get by with a 150 gallon.

Just curious, is price your concern, or space? If it is price, have you tried looking on Craigslist? There are some great deals on there for tanks.

I have an outdoor pond, but in michigan they cant stay out year long. I do search craigslist, all day long, lol im constantly refreshing the page to see if theres more posts up. My concern is space, im 21 and wont be moving out soon, my mom wont tolerate an indoor pond, so i have to go with an aquarium in the basement. Theres enough room in the basement for a big tank, if i can find something for a good price on craigslist between 120 to 200 gallons im gonna buy it. I hope i dont have problems when there older, although my cousin did agree to take one of my turtles if they dont get along.

Hey someone on here put 2 tanks togeather with a basking area above so they can go from one tank up the dock and then down into another tank cant remember who it was but it was really cool...Anyone know who it was?

It's a really good idea because then if something happens, you can separate them easily, just take away the basking area and make a new one! And you might have an easier time finding 2 55-120 gallon tanks.
