Mine finds a spot where he can rest on the plant without his arms holding him on and puts his whole body in his shell. Sometimes he stretches himself completely out and puts his back feet against the plant and somehow balances, sleeps, and keep his nose above the water.

For 3 weeks I never caught my turtle sleeping! I was like come on! Fall asleep already! Then one night I got up in the middle of the night for something, and decided to check her tank. There she was sleeping! She positioned herself in a small spot between the glass and the turtle dock. She had her little nose above the water..it was adorable!

Chester sometimes sleeps clinging to his plant, but i've also caught him sleeping underwater and immediately lost my breath haha. Does anyone know how long they can hold there breath?
