Habitat - Indoor :: cork bark in a stock tank

If my cork bark doesn't fit in my stock tank, can I glue it in there with epoxy or something?

Aquarium silicone is a good safe adhesive to use. You do have to let it cure for a while though. What do you mean by doesn't fit? It's not big enough to wedge into place?

I don't have my corkbark yet. I'm going to try to find a huge piece but I was just asking just in case I can't wedge it in.

It seems like trying to glue it might be more hassle than it's worth. What about drilling holes in it and anchoring it to the side with string or something? There's also the option of making a PVC platform topped with the corkbark.

Well just cut it to size so you cant wedge it in there. No big deal.

You could use a knife, a fine tooth saw, dremel, jigsaw, whatever you have available.

The pieces I've seen are usually too small to wedge sideways. Depending on the pieces you're working with, you might be able to cut a piece of eggcrate to fit into your tank and add the bark on top of it.

What about letting it float free?

I could if I can. Is it ok to let it float free? Then again, you can't position a basking lamp on it.

Well your getting a MVB right?

Then you could position the MVB flood in the center of the tank, and then let it float free, so that it would always get some rays.

But you could anchor it somehow, I remember someone using a brick, with a string tied around it, then secured the string to the dock so that it would stay in one general area. That might work for you.

On floating free, I don't know what I was thinking. If this is an indoor habitat, then it would be best to have it positioned so it would stay under the light. I was thinking outdoor. My bad.

Yeah, I think I'm going to try to anchor it like Chrisbarnett said.
