I still wanna keep shrimp and pellets in the diet but im moving to a mainly butter lettuce diet, and occasionally i want to offer crickets & Fish. Can anyone with a diet like this give me a daily or weekly routine to follow with these supplies.

pellets should be a big part of the diet.

This is what i do

Mon- pellets
Tues- lettuce
Wed- pellets
Thurs- lettuce
Fri- pellets
Sat- lettuce
Sun-pellets

And i just keep some fish in the tank so whenever they get them they get them.
I dont really do shrimp, but if you want to you can give it to them like once a month. Not to much.

I fed mine some sea monkeys one time and they chowed them!
I should probably start to do more shrimp treats. :) I bet they would love that.

I didn't see this on the nutrition guide, how good is butter lettuce for turts? I know red leaf and green leaf lettuce are great, and romaine is good in moderation, but what category does butter lettuce fall in?

At your turtles' sizes, they should only be getting pellets every other day, and only as many as would fit in their heads if they were hollow. The shrimp and fish are fine as rare treats but shouldn't be part of the regular diet. I offer my turtles high protein treats like that no more than once a month.
Your turtles should be making the switch from a higher protein diet (more pellets) to a more vegetable-rich diet so you should start offering them a variety of greens and other vegetables to ensure they get a balanced diet. Look at the sticky notes in the nutrition section to see what vegetables to feed.

A "mainly butter lettuce diet" sounds like you're planning to make this the staple in his diet and that's not very nutritious.

I have to ask---where did you read (or who told you) that butter lettuce is the most nutritious one to give? If it's the kind I'm thinking of, I don't think it's as nutritious as red-leaf or even romaine, for that matter. And, actually, no lettuce is a powerhouse of nutrition. Dandelions are much better. You need to vary the kind of greens that he gets. You can (and should) offer some plant matter daily, even on the days that he gets other foods.

I give him dandelions too.. Along with cuttle bone pellets butter lettuce collard greens, rarely scrimp, i use to feed crickets, meal worms and fish, but all of those were on a rare basis. I already have changed my turtle to a diverse nutritious diet, you can close this thread if you want, i no longer need any help.

Aren't collards supposed to be offered rarely?
