I'm so sorry for your loss. It wasn't your fault. Please don't blame yourself. We all do things that we realize later we shouldn't have done. I had seven feeder fish in the tank that Speedy wasn't eating. So I bought food for them and believe it or not, I was getting attached to them also. Well, I cleaned Speedy's tank Monday night, and didn't think to take them out. While putting clean water in with the kitchen sink sprayer, I killed them all. I guess the water pressure was too much for the little fish. I felt so bad when I realized what I had done. Most lessons are learned the hard way. So we learn and go on. You loved Mikey, gave him the best care and love you could while he was here, and you couldn't have done anymore than that.

Thank you. I can't decide if I should get anymore feeder fish for Speedy or not. I'm wondering if there's another kind of fish that I can put in there that can live with Speedy. Believe it or not, I think he misses them too.

whatever you put in the tank will be considered dinner to speedy.
but i bet he'd really like it as a treat :]

You're right. I guess I'll just get him some more to eat. I just wish he'd eat them faster before I get attached! Thanks.

Really sorry about your turtle but now i feel bad...i couldn't help laughing when i saw the turtle CPR but then i read the rest and its sad and now i feel bad about laughing =(
