I was taking yet another pic of Toto, he caught me, stared at me, and I swear I heard him moan. hahahha :P I love my turtles! :)

*frown* I wish Neptune would pose. He ducks in his shell when I come with the camera. The pictures that I have are after waiting for 40 minutes!

You know how frustrating that is for a photographer!
You never know though, I had a dog that was that way and I got him ONCE and now it is an award winning photo!

This is a misunderstanding knowledge of most turtle owners, but I know I thought that when a turtle tucked all their limbs in when picked up, that they were calm and didn't mind being handled
It is actually because they see us as a predator. They do understand and overcome this fear pretty fast though
The ones that air swim knows you won't hurt them but they just don't like to be handled

I guess so lol weird way of showing it huh?
Some of mine will just stay still, no tucking in or anything, just dangling his little legs

sometimes he does try to scurry

but most of time he tucks in.

Congrats on the award winning photo!! Toto used to scurry away and hide, but he doesn't anymore! I guess he's used to me. My other little one isn't used to me yet. I'm into photography too, so I take so many pictures ! :lol:
