Can turtles eat too much cuttlebone. I seem to go thru a cuttlebone every like three days cause Morris just loves them. I just want to know if u can over feed cuttlebone?

No, I don't think so. They eat only as much as they need.

Well, its possible to overfeed anything. If you are serving a well varied diet with a good pellet, I'd limit the cuttlebone.

Cuttlebone is the internal shell of a cuttlefish. It's a good calcium supplement for turtles and birds. They're sold in the bird supply section of pet stores. When you get them, they'll have a hard backing on one side which you'll have to remove. I personally like to break the cuttlebone into chunks before chipping off the hard bit, but everybody's got their own preferred method.

be sure and take the hard plastic backing off though. turtle bone and cuttlebone are the same thing. cuttlebone is cheaper though

really i just put a big chunk in. that way its there when it is needed. the size depends on how much of it i break trying to get the stupid backing haha.

This is talked about in Chrisbarnetts thread a couple threads down. Watch how much you feed your turtle, I recommend giving him a piece about 1.5 times the area of his head. Feed him this size ever 2-3 days, although you can feed it to him daily I don't recommend that. As I said in Chrisbarnetts thread I will ask the store where I go what they have to say about how often RES should be given cuttlebone.
