I am pretty darn sick. Coughing up crud and all that great stuff.

Can I pass a respiratory infection to my turtle?

i think as long as you wash your hands before you do anything with the turtle and dont like cough on it, it should be fine. im far from positive though

You want to wash you hands before handling your turtle and his things, like food, for example. If you're coughing uncontrollably a lot, you could wear a mask (they sell them for this reason) to wear if your bending over your turtle or the tank. In general, though, unless it's a bacteria or virus that can live in both mammals (warm-blooded) and reptiles (cold-blooded) your turtle should be fine if you use the precautions suggested.
