Take a picture of the top of your tank, specifically the black frame. The two setups I use are easy to make and look great. Not sure how they would work with your filter tho.

Dont mean to hijack this just wana say to grem that I like the Corona bottles in there lol, now as for the post itself so this isnt a total hijack. Most ATBA's are just a small enclose that rest on the top of peoples tanks with a slight overhang that comes down the tank walls so the ATBA doesnt slide off. Maybe you can find a few good ideas by searchin Yahoo or something.

I havent made one, but I think that Plexiglas would be the way to go. 3 walls with the floor, and a ramp going up to it (maybe use a floating dock for ramp), along with come decorations, some sort of floor(like the carpet) and a setup for the lights.

Something that fits into the frame of the tank would be nice also.

Check out the sticky at the top of this forum - it's got a whole bunch of pictures of basking areas, and a lot of them are atbas. There are a few DIY plans on the site too.

Hey grem89. I think that you should do something about your atba's ramp area. You should put up some sort of barrier near the ramp, because it looks to me like a turtle would be able to climb out right there. :)

there is a barrier on the right side of the ramp. The other side of the tank is up against the wall so there is no where for my turt to go on that side.

and there is about 2 inches between the ramp and either side of the tank so he wouldnt be able to climb out that way. Unless he jumps but i havent heard of turtles jumping ever.
