This is Alvin Katraz at about six and a half months. Does anything look unusual about his shell? I'm a little worried about a discoloration that shows up while wet.

Looks like he/she has some retained scutes.

He's very cute :)
Looks like he went through a growth spurt, but I don't think he has retained scutes. As long as he has a proper basking area with UVB, and you feed him some foods with some vitamin E (like blueberries, sweet potato, apple peel), I don't think he'll have a problem shedding those baby scutes :)

haha yeah, its an old hand towel on top of the plexiglass that his ATBA is made out of.
