Is anyone using one right now? Is it more supportive than the turtle dock with the rails?

Right now I have the rail turtle dock supported by a small flower pot to keep it afloat as the weight when all three of my RES' get on it it get submerged with the pot.

If you have three RES a float or magnetic dock won't be strong enough.

I'd look into building one. PVC and tile ones are very study and can hold a bit of turtle weight. Above tank basking areas also are nice alternatives. Take a look around the photo section to see ones that other members have built.

How big are your turtles? I have the large turtle bank and it holds up my 2 3.5" turtles fine. It's very boyant, my friend has one and it was fine with his 5.5" painted as well and she was pretty heavy.

I bought mine from a local pet shop, I did see it at Big Als in Scarborough, ON have the medium sized one now so maybe BigAls as a whole has them now. I think there was some other posts about this cause a couple people posted pics of them including myself.

Found it

I love mine, and so does Roca. 3 turtles might be pushing it though. It is very buoyant but I don't know if there is enough room for 3 turtles to bask at the same time.

I have one. Mine had a defect in it and it took in water so it never floated. I lost the recipet and had to make it work. I just drilled into it and added about 4 suction cups to it. Holds up my 4" male, and 5" female just fine. The magnets will not support a heavy turtle.

the magnets only hold the dock in place, so it doesnt float away, the acutally dock floats. i have one for my little dude who is about 5" and he loves it, but im not sure how it will fair with multiple turts.

I learned that ANY floating turtle dock is for begginers and SMALL turtles...
We start by buying stuff for the size that our turtles ARE at the time, but quickly learn they don't stay that way for long and need to buy NEWER and BIGGER things lol.
2 turtle docks,2 tanks, and 4 filters later, i wish i would have just bought everything for GROWN turtles from the beginning!
One grown turtle will (at least partially) sink the largest commercial turtle dock out there whether it has magnets or bars and we ALL know turtles basking spot needs to be completely dry.
So my advice......Look up some basking spots in the gallery and get creative :)

Not a bad idea. Would be kinda cool to make an underwater resting plat form, only using stronger magnets to actually hold up a platform, like those tunze powerheads.
