it looks great but dang it is HUGE. makes your 55 gallon tank look small. I guess you have long 55 gallon -

should get my 2 mediums today. hopefully they will be fine.

wait until my wife see that i have another present for my turtles - might have to crawl back into my shell.. HARHAR!

ok i have received my two medium sized turtle banks from Exo terra. the turts are investigating it. i would imagine it would be some time before they will get used to basking on them.

the magnets are surprisingly strong. if you have a glass tank you'll have to be careful that it doesn't hit it so hard that i cracks the glass.

i have a 3.5 and 4" - i put them on top and it didn't sink. it floats on it's own and it is held fast by the magnets.

it is made of plastic/resin - it is not anything like the Zoo med which is made of styrofoam (i dont' own one but i have seen one). You will not need to worry about your turtle chewing on this one.

Frees up the space beneath the tank for more swimming area.

overall i am very happy with the purchase.

i will post picks once my turts get use to their fear of the turtle bank.

Hold both magnets to the glass, but not next to each other. Then slide one magnet towards the other. I saw a magnetic hook thing made for glass doors, and this is what they recommended. It produces no force on the glass, so it has no chance of breaking the glass.

I finally found one of these at a local Petco. Maybe they are all going to be selling them. I think I'm going to get this insead of a zoomed.

hey luvly turtle... and nice aquarium ... bt isnt sand or gravel risky fr turtle? if they try to eat they can die wats yr opinion btw?

gravel yes, sand not so much, theres an entire thread here about using sand.

thnx fr the info str1p ... im also gonna buy this turtle bank! exo terra/hagen products look much better to me then zoo med!
