Is it a good thing to use rodi water for turtles?

we use it in our saltwater tanks, and so i used it for the turtle.... Any ideas appriciated!

It sounds pretty unnecisary, but it cant hurt. It is just super filtered water, right?

I use RO water and it is great. What you are doing is putting fewer disolved solids in the water. The only water that has less disolved solids would be distilled water. I use it at times.

Well we use it for our salt water tanks, so we figured to go ahead. I just wanted to see if it was beneficial to them.

Distilled water really isn't good because it doesn't contain electrolytes and minerals that are beneficial to turtles. I don't know the content of RO water, but regular tap water is fine (if it's chlorinated, use a dechlorinator).

Mar-mod is correct if you use all distilled water, however between my raw well water, soft water ,Ro water and some distilled water there is plenty of minerals and electrolytes for my turtles. My raw water is so hard that my water guy laughs every time he comes by to check my water. My softener works over time and uses a lot of salt. Unless you are on the same water system everyone’s water is different.

Might help prevent the typical "turtle slime", along with algae.

I just clean my tank weekly right now, and when I get a better filter, I'll be cleaning it bi-weekly or more frequently than that if needed.

If you're talking about a slimy residue that's found on some turtles' shells, it's most likely due to bacteria that's formed a film on them. Keeping the water quality up no matter what kind of water you're using is necessary is important.

If it's city water, it most likely is. The tap water where I am comes from a well and isn't chlorinated.

All domestic water is not chlorinated. If you have a private well, the water is not chlorinated. If you are on public or a communal water it is most likely chlorinated. When I mentioned “ raw water”, it is the untreated water from my well.
