It's been a while!! But I am back... back when I was on here regularly I had a less than 1.5 " turtle who was believed to be a male... his name was Manny! Here is from the day I brought him home...

Mandy would work too. I got mine around the same as yours, but mine hasn't grown that big yet. I don't think I've been feeding it enough. Mine is only about 3.25" now.

Shes really active! Always swimming around - loves all the room! Eats a lot. Switched from hatching food to bigger pellets about 6 pellets ago. I also give her spinach ... vet said she's really healthy hand happy!

Males don't grow as fast (or as big) as females so you should consider that when trying to sex your turtles.
I have a 4 year old male and he's about 3 1/2" meantime the female counterparts are about 7"

I like the name Manuela, it's pretty. Sounds like it could be the name of a flower.

I like manuela too but i still call her manny... used to it!

I KNOW!!! The females grow so fast! I couldn't believe how big she is already! She needs to stp growing or I will have to make an outside tank for my patio! Everyone loves my current tank with my fish, pleco and turtle! I have a corner tank and it looks so good!
