I was looking for something with less protein for my RES to eat because right now all he eats is Reptomin pellets and baby shrimp/mini krill. So far he hasn't eaten lettuce. He may be eating the anacharis in his pond but I don't know either way.
I saw this food by Nature Zone called "Ready to Eat Bites" specially formulated apetite stimulating color and flavor. The food is red in color and is squishy. It's low in protein and I wondered if this would be a good alternative to the Reptomin everyday. I could switch them up.
The instructions read to put the food into a feeding dish, however, my RES is in a small outdoor pond and he doesn't have access to any land. He only has a ZooMed basking dock.
Do you have any opinions regarding this food, good or bad, and if good, is it okay to put this food in the water and let it float for him to eat?
Thanks,
Debra
