Yes, it's normal.

There are probably hundreds of threads all over the forums about this. I really mean that.

Hundreds.

There's nothing bad about him eating it and the only way to stop them is by cleaning it before he can get to it. It's a natural part of being a turtle.

It's not bad for him, he won't get sick. If you don't want him eating it, just take it out.

It's not healthy or unhealthy for them. I would equate it to a human eating celery. It doesn't offer anything good, but it's not going to make him sick.

Thankfully, mine don't do that. They seem to know it's not real food.

Lots of animals do it. Dogs do it sometimes, my pet rats do it a lot, and so does the turtle.

It's COMPLETELY normal! My turtles do that, and most other turtles do it. It's completely natural. Well, for them anyway!

Yes they do. One of my dogs does it. My mom's dog loves to eat cat poop. It's really weird.

Its common for dogs, there is even a word for it, coprophagy. Sometimes dogs do it because they are lacking something in their diet, but sometimes it just becomes a habit. Dogs are attracted to cat poop because cat food is so high in protein it makes their poop smell delicious to a dog.
