General Care Discussion :: twitching??

i have 2 turtles and a fish. while i was cleaning the filter, i found tiny red worms. due to that, im not using any filter.

while i was away, one of my turtle ate the fish. a few hours later, one of my turtle seems to keep scratching his head (only). he, then, tries to sleep but since he cant fall asleep, he basks. while he basks, he twitches his head (mostly) and occasionally legs. when he is back in the water, he does not twich. i also noticed that when he is basking, he shuts his eye longer than usual, like around 3 secs and then opens his eyes back. other than the twitching and the eyes, hes ok.

my other turtle is fine.

should i be worried?

i can only take my turtles for a check up next week but i want to sure about anything.

ive noticed that the suspected turtle is always basking. he had also been yawning more, inside the water and once outside the water. he does not breathe with his mouth opened.

The twitching is normal, my RES will do it when he's been basking for a while. It happens when they start getting really warm. My RES will gyrate for a while and then go into the water to cool off.

It's kind of the same twitching humans do before they fall into a very deep sleep. Mine do this too, it's normal.
