I WAS LOOKING AROUND FOR A TANK LID COVER THAT HAS BOTH THE NORMAL LIGHT AND THE BASKING ONE.

I FOUND THIS I WANTED TO KNW IF IT IS WORTH GETTIING

ALSO WUD THIS DO THE SAME JOB AS A LAMP WITH A UVB BULB AND ONE OF THM LONG UVA LIGHT BULBS FOR MY TANK??

Looks Good, Maybe a tad bright, but aslong as you keep is a fair distance away from your turtle, Shouldnt be a Problem

i would be worried about it getting the basking area warm enough since it can only handle 26 watt bulbs. that would be fine for a UVB but a incandescent 26 watt doesnt seem like it would put out enough heat. im not sure though since ive never used an incandescent for a basking area light

Yeah I agree with you Daniel. The heat output probably isn't very high. And being on top of a otherwise open tank may not put out the heat needed. How big is your tank? I would sum it up as this will be good for UVA/B but you still need a heat lamp. If you have a larger tank I would recommend a MVB, it does both. They give heat and UVA/B, but do to their size, they are only for larger tanks like 75 gal and above. They come in two sizies 100watt and 160watt bulbs, Good luck

I actually have a similar problem. My young turtle is in a 20 gallon long tank and I have a lit that can hold 1 light. The tank is 30'' across and I think the bulb is something like 26''. I thought it would be easy to find a lid that could hold two bulbs, but so far no luck.
Anyone have any recommendations? Is there A MVB tube bulb that is small enough? I was using a regular clip on light fixture, but its started to melt the plastic. Argh!
