but my turtle hates my cat!
I feel so bad because I'll come into the room and the cat will just be laying there watching the turtle and Bobbi is all squished into a corner watching the cat...
I hope they get used to eachother soon though.

I hope you've got a cover on that tank! Cats are pretty smart when it comes to getting what they're after. I don't think having the cat there is good for the turt tho. Sounds like it's stressing him out.

The first time I filled up my 30 gal. tank, I had it about half full of water, my cat decided to check it out. He fell right in, and came flying back out soaked as can be. To this day he can't even stand to be near the aquarium. Now that I have the 75 gal. he wanders around the stand underneath, but if I pick him up and show him above he'll squirm. Lesson learned!

My turtle hates my cat too but she doesnt hide from him, she tries to catch him through the tank. Its the tail that mostly makes her angry. As the cat passes by, she tries biting at the tail. My turt also hates when I pick up my cat in front of her. She will try climbing up the walls of the tank to get at me when she sees that because she wants all the attention. What a ham of a turt. As soon as I put the cat down and go to talk to her, she relaxes and just looks up at me.

My cat is scared of her and avoids the tank. I dont know if its the water shes afraid of or the turt itself but they really dont get along.

I read of someones turt making a "clacking" sound with his beak when another animal got too near the tank, like a warning. If your cat is frightening your turtle, I'd try to keep the cat away from him.

lol no my cat is sweet. She actually just watches the turtle! & the turtle isn't too frightened by her. I mean, I keep her away as much as possible but it isn't bad. There is a cover but my cat would never try to get in there. She's a big chicken. lol
