im having some troubles identifying my turtles shell probs as well. squishy has a spot just like the 3rd pic

Mine has the same spot like the third one. I remember he got it right after i had put him in a tub with unconditioned water while i was cleaning his tank out. I think it might be some kind of chlorine spot. Hopefully it comes off by the next shed.
The first one looks normal to be but the second one looks like he might of gotten hurt before and it healed right there.

i just went and got some shell conditioner vita shell stuff and i put it on today so hopefully she'll get better.
but when i put it on she slipped outta my hands she launched herself and hit the sit of our plastic container but she didnt hurt herself though so im glad shes okay. shes a fast little turtle though

The vita shell is not good to use (for anything). It looks like a small breech and a bit of the bone layer is exposed. Just give it a gentle scrub with diluted chlorhexidine (Hibiclens) and let dry.
