My big babies...they always stay on that log until I get the food can or they see the greens in my hand...then its off into the water for begging.
Sheldon is a very domesticated turt..loves ppl and not the least bit afraid of them. Bob is getting MUCH better at ppl...she still snaps at you if you get too close to comfort.

Bob's shell is looking better and better with each shed. Its gonna take some time but i'm hoping she'll eventually have a nice looking one once again. The greens she's eating have really helped (plus she's more active since being rationed the pellets..which if you recall was her 3x's a day meal, 7 days a week).
BTW...they cannot fit on any "normal" dock anymore..they are just wayyyyyy too big. What you see there is a 18" wide half wooden log. It is supported by rocks on the tank bottom, thus allowing more swimming room underneath (also hiding places for the rosy red that is still alive 2 months after being placed in there..lol). With the slope of the log, it is easier for them to climb up and not worry about tipping over as they climb (the Turtle Dock that attaches to the tank with suction cups was not able to support them and they usually fell off it attempting to hang on).
Bob and Sheldon are now 7" (from December's measurments)...Bob is still too small for her age (14 yrs) but Sheldon is right on target I do believe (she's 2yr old).
