I haven't come on here since I first got my RES turtles a couple weeks (maybe months?) ago. I have two RES turtles, Stanley and Sheldon. Sheldon had a pretty bad shell when I first got him, it's looking alot better now though. I'm not sure they're ages but they are about 2-3 inches big?

Here's a picture when I first got them. Sheldon is the bigger one.

And their tank at the time.

And their current tank. (It's a 10 gallon. We're moving them into a 55 gallon hopefully soon, once my dad gets a new tank for his goldfish)

I don't think they have the healthiest shells though and it has been worrying me lately. Anyone have tips for nutrition? Ours are on pellets and romanian lettuce, with the occasional carrot and cricket. (They LOVE crickets  )

Oh, and is it too early to tell their sexes? :P

Looking pretty good and they are really cute. It's still a little early to tell their sexes, usually at 4" shell length you'll be able to tell.

I just have one suggestion for your tank and that is to switch to a different substrate, either sand or river rock. Turtles like to eat their substrates and gravel can cause digestive problems including impaction. Even if you don't see them eating it theres a pretty strong chance that they are. Things like sand are easier for the turtle to pass and wont cause blockages.

Sounds like their diet is good. If your looking for something to help them shed you can get some cuddlebone and put it in there for them to eat, just make sure you remove the hard backing before you do so, since turtles have a difficult time digesting it.
