Found this girl, in the middle of the development. She obviously is a much older female probably 40+in age maybe. He shell is smoothed down and has hardly any growth rings. A real good note of older box turtles. I couldnt let her continue of her path because it was just heading further into the neighbor so i moved her back down into the woods hopefully still in her tracks she traveled before. She sure was a looker too. Really nice orange and had nice red eyes. Usually ownly shown in males.



Now just random pics of the painteds and the diamondbacks in the water hyacinths.

dont they eat all of the water hyacinths? i was thinking of putting some in my tank but was afraid it would just get eaten right away

yep, but the key is to buy some and then place them somewhere where they can grow and then once you get enough put a whole bunch in and it will be to much for the turtles to completely eat. All those you see are just from one hyacinth bought at the begining of spring.
