i was in the same situation with my stand but i put a board on top or the stand then my tank on top of it to keep the weight evenly distributed. works beautifully for about 2 years now

Personally I would be very freaked out to have a tank on a smaller stand... Even though it's not filled up all the way the water is still very heavy and puts a lot of stress on the glass. Especially with those bricks (?) on the left side!!

Merlin gets weighed weekly just like all the other pets in the house.
I was taking photos for another forum (guinea pig one lol ) so I thought I would post the photo here too.



He doesn't seem to mind too much but this is the look I got after when I told him he was getting a little fat.

I am. I got into this habit with my guinea pigs because the first sigh of illness is weight loss. I weigh everyone from the ferrets too the mouse. The only one who doesn't get it is my betta.

HAHA No coffee, I had a cat who had gotten into instant coffee once... it was not pretty. I would hate to see how nuts Merlin would be on it LOL.
