I was just wondering do standard household compact florescent sprial bulbs put out UV rays or are the rwptile bulbs special designed for that. I'm talking UVb not baksing uva rays.

No, they don't put out UVB. Since UVB can be harmful, most bulbs do not produce them or are filtered to block them. Only special bulbs that specifically say they produce UVB are the ones you should look for.
Oh yeah I by reptisun bulbs my boyfriend just made a comment about how our light bulbs looks like the turtles so I thought I'd ask
