Ok from what I have read so far this sounds normal-but would feel alot better with some comments- My babies are at 2" and almost 2" (we saved them from our neighbors who left them in a 10 gal tank in the cold rain) I have had them 4 wks now-set up is good (30 gal) -temps are good-eating great - on the Plastron (the bottom hope that is right word) in the seams -appear to be pink -they were not always that color - I noticed this a day or two ago- PLEASE tell me this is ok?

My turtle has the same thing. As far as I can tell it's normal. He's had it for about 4 months and he's still a-okay.
Does the color go away if you press on it? As long as it doesn't, you should be okay.

I see faint pink in the seam, but it doesn't really look like you and your turtles have a problem.

What are the turtles being fed?

They eat the reptomin sticks-feeder fish=every other week-worms =occasionally -have been trying to get them to eat some lettuce and carrots or apple - they dont seem to be interested in that at all right now-but I keep trying to give it to them-but I think they are still pretty young-and I understand they like the meat items more-I had been overfeeding them up untill mid last week- until I figured out what I was doing -it was a little confusing getting used to what to do with these two little guys.

They do have a preference for animal matter when younger, but offering some plant matter like you're doing is good. Try some anachris as well as red leaf lettuce and dandelion leaves as well. If you want to give live fish, make it guppies or minnows. Also putting a few small pieces of cuttlebone in the tank would be good to do.

Chances are, if you buy live plants you will end up with a few small snails. There snails will breed without a mate and can over populate quickly...I on the other hand breed these snails anyway, lol. It's a great way to get free snails and your turt will probably eat them. The shell is good for them, and the snails can clean before they are munched on.
