Ive been looking at some of the pictures and alot of them look pretty good. Ive been trying to take a picture with my kyocera finecam but its really hard to get a really good focus. I turned off the flash because i wasnt sure if it was good for the turtles, should i turn it back on??

I know with my camera that if I didn't use the flash, none of my pics would even look right or turn out. But that's just my camera. If you can take good pics without it, then great but if not I don't think it will matter. That is unless you are standing there snapping their pics for an incredibly long period of time.

they key is taking a ton before you might get 1 or two thats right, try using the "macro" function (usually a flower symbol on your digi cam) as it will give you a clear focus .. the flash is good at times but i dont like how it makes all your pictures loko un naturual, like ur caught in the headlights or something...

I use the macro function. It can be hard to get a good focus, esp. if they're in the tank. I usually take 10 or 15 pics for every good one. If you are too close, the flash will be too bright for the picture, but my turtle doesn't seem to mind. I use the flash from a distance and when I'm close I try to use my tripod or hold the camera against the tank. Usually there isn't enough light in my tank to hand hold the camera without flash.
Be sure to read your camera's manual, it probably has some suggestions for taking close-up shots and when to use the flash.
