Mine is Petri. My fiance named him after "petri dish" but I like it because of the dino in Land Before Time.

Sometimes you can use a foreign-language word as a name. For example, the Japanese word for "fish" is "Aji" (pronounced "Ah-jee") and "cat" is "neko". I have a betta fish that I named Aji and all my Japanese coworkers think it is hilarious.

Sometimes it can be a made-up word, too. One day a friend came over and commented on my Frog, but instead of saying frog (with an "F") he said "Prog" by accident. I thought it was funny & I named my frog "PROG."

Have fun!
Kristin's Pond! Starring:

African Clawed Frog = "Prog", 10 yrs old
& "Kristin" as Momma
