I just noticed today that my turtle, Jaubo, has the white spots on her shell. I am going to try to add a pic to this post, Can anyone tell me what it could be and what I need to do? It won't let me post the pic... I will try to do something else....

my turtle also has white spots on his shell and i'm not quite sure what it is either. go here http://www.redearslider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3222 to see pictures of my turtle with the spots to compare whether they are the same as what your turtle has.

In an earlier post it was discussed that it could be air trapped under the scute or a bruised spot from the poor conditions in which he was being raised. I don't know if that is what your white spots are like or not.
Does the spot feel soft, and is there an odor? If so, those could be signs that there is soft shell.
I noticed in your post that your turt is 6 inches and your set up is 30 gal. Are you planning on upgrading soon? Your turt should have at least 60 gallons.
Also, why are you feeding your turtle goldfish pellets? There are turtle pellets widely available that would be better suited for the diet that your turtle needs.

My two female red ear sliders have some while stuff on their necks near the top of their heads. The two males do not have it. What could this be and what should I do?
