hi again.so i already have a 2 inch turtle called qiuqiu, and mu mom just bought a new one which probably just hatched less than a month ago.its really really small and i dont feel any weight at all when i hold her (i gotta feeling its a her)..she is not shy at all she just came in ouur home today and when i touched her head she didnt even hide back in her shell....but as i examined her i noticed she has white patches on her skin.one on her left eye, like the eye lid there, and some is on the hands and feet...she looks reallyy skinny, but maybe coz shes a hatchling dunno, her back feet has this realli inwards concave...into the shell.and her tail is unlike regular tail.it looks like the tail is half grown or something.looks really halfway and nt complete...can u guys tell me why is it like that?does she has fungus,a broken tail or malnutrition?isshe gonna be okay?and what are the things i cn do to help her,and how to treat if she really is havin fungus.i currently put her in a little tank away from the bigger turtle...will she be okay if i put it with the bigger turtle after she recovered?thanks

Is this new hatchling a RES? Fungus could be an issue, and it sounds severe. Where did she get the new turtle?

The cloaca appears to be a bit swollen, have you seen your turtle poop? Does she eat?

There likely is fungus, but I'd want to focus on feeding and temperatures first.

no she is not eating today is the third day in my house.she is also not pooping..i also thought its a little swollen but today its not that swollen anymore.when she is dry,the white colour on the shell however will become more, and when its wet the white thingy on the shell will be less.weird right.she is a baby and she is really small.i examined her cochlea and it looks like there is no opening at her cochlea, which is really weird.

If the cloaca is not properly formed, you'd really need a vet to examine her. You might want to consider giving her a soak in 50% water and 50% pedialyte. Pedialyte is a liquid with electrolytes given to children who have diarrhea.

in the country i live they dont sell these kinda things.there is not even a specialised herp vet here!they treat dogs and cats ...today she completely went into comatose state.she doesnt wake up even when i hold her.the fungus spreads like wildfire and her eyes is covered by fungus, even one side of the nostril.even her body like inside the shell part also have fungus.im really sorry.also i suspect that the pet shop doesny change their uv bulbs, and their uv bulbs are expired maybe.when i hold my turtle upside down with my hands on either side of shell the shell bends even when im not applying force.she maybe has mbd...im sorry...im afraid she wouldnt make it.the fungus is too strong im really sorry

i dont know, but i think my turtle is suicidal.u see,she is unable to open her eyes sort of coz the fungus practically covered the eye lids so its kinda like stick thereand yesterday when she is still able to open her eyes,i dont know how but she made herself upside down.i was shocked.she was upside down, bottoms up but she didnt even struggle.she just lied there (my first turtle daidai who died also acts that way).she just lie there making no movements.i was shocked and put her back in place.today she is unable to open her eyes already, she looks like shes sleeping.but she will move a bit if i touch her.when i wasnt there for a long time,i will always go back finding her dipping her head inside the water. head only not entire body. she has half the tank of land and half water.the water is quite shallow but deeper than her depth? she dips her head into the water as if to drown herself four times today!yesterday when she cn still see i put her in water she doesnt even wanna swim.she just froze there, not moving, and floats.i quickly moved her back to the land.so yea she dipped her head inside the water even tho she closed her eyes.im really sad and dunno wat to do.maybe i will lessen the water till she is not able to drown

I'm sorry to hear it. I think there are some birth defects to begin with and very poor conditions at the pet store. I do not think there is much you can do besides make her as comfortable as possible.
