we frequently let him walk around the house all the time. i've been feeding him those reptotreat shrimps since he was just a hatchling. if he sees you pick up the can, he will actually follow you around the house. its really cute.. if you drop some shrimp inside the tank while he isnt in there, he will actualy try to climb up the table to get in the tank!
