I know this may Sound Funny but I put my Turtles in my Kids pool Everyday for a few Hours to get them some sun Light. We do not have a Light yet for them. Every time i pick one of them up to put Him back in the Tank he Pees all over my Hand. Is He getting Scared when i pick him up? Also they both seem to be shedding.

Thanks,
Lainee

They'll do that when they're stressed. My box turtles will also poop when they're scared or uncomfortable.

My turt does that at times. Usually, when I pick him up to brush his shell. I think its normal. Dont worry about it.

My turtle has done that to me twice. Lucky for me, I was holding him by the shell so he actually peed in the tank! :)

It's a good healthy sign! They pee because it sometimes makes a predator drop them if it has them in it's mouth. At least that's the theory. I hope it works for them!

LOL, get used to it! I can't count the number of times my turtle has peed on me, but typically it is right after she is fed or if I scare her by accident. She also doesn't like it when I hold her too long & as she tries to get away & pushes against me with her back legs, she pees.

And yes, turtles do shed skin, just like people do.
