Betty really has come a long way in just having her a week. She is eating wonderfully. She did really good when I did handle her (only when I was changing her tank water) and she will even bask when your in the room. A couple days ago, if we did catch her basking, she would instantly jump in the water.
She has even been begging for food!

Good for you! Over a month later, and my turtle still won't bask when we're in the room. My computer desk is opposite from the tank and if I'm home alone working, I can see him basking (I've got a mirror positioned so I can see the tank).
My babies: Tanner (RES), MR. Prissy & Ringo (budgies), Shinju (cockatiel)
