Brandon and I just bought a used 75 gallon tank for $100 from a guy who had upgraded to a larger tank! It has drilling in the back for filtration and was set up before for fish but is now home to our lil Leo! and so far he is loooving it! Once I get some more money and am able to do some upgrades I hope to fashion my tank after some of the more done up of the tanks on here! PVC piping from gg's set up will probably end up in here- Leo would have a play day in that one! ;) :::here are some pics:::

Actually, I like it the way it is. I like them more simple.

Where did you get the plants along the back wall? I've almost thought up an idea for a little hide out for my turtles.

Muirner- I got the plants from Petsmart- they're sposed to be for lizards and the such but I washed them really well and then put them in!

Grey Goose- Funny thing is, today was the first day I saw him get into his little hidey hole and I think it was an accident! haha but maybe it'll prompt him to do it more! ;)

The only thing I might do is give hime one more plant at the bottom of the tank that he can hide in. I love the set up! I think those plants near the top of the tank must be a favorite for him! I am going to look for some too, I think it's a great idea.

Oh I did mean to ask, if Leo is a girl will he be Leona? or Lenore? Or will the little one remain Leo no matter what?

Funny you should ask- haha- Brandon and I have been debating that for awhile now! He wants to call Leo, Leona if he ends up being a she, buuut I wanna name Leo, Lilo if he ends up being a she! *shrugs* we'll see what happens! And he does love his plants on the side of the tank- i can't remember a time when he wasn't sleeping in them at night! I kinda wonder where he would sleep if he didn't have his plants?! lol

I like both the names. I was just wondering because if Spike is a girl, I think the name stays, even if it is a tad on the masculine side.

I am planning on getting him something at the bottom of the tank to hide in- I'm hoping to copy grey goose and get something like a PVC pipe or anything similar and then mask it with plants so he will have double the stuff to hide in! ;)

:D HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!!! :D
