I was walking on campus and saw a whole bunch of RES basking, so I took out my camera and shot a few pictures to share with everyone.

Very nice pictures! Are they fairly used to pedestrian traffic? Seems like you didn't bother them too much.

i was really far away, i'm guessing at least 20+ ft. I used a full 12x optical zoom on all of those pictures.

Wow! That's a gaggle of turtles. How big is the pond?

20ft by 30ft, there are three levels, each pond per level. There are also frogs and gold fishes living there besides RES. In the summer you can even find crawfish swimming around.

OMG that's so cool! I'm so use to seeing my RES at home, it's hard to imagine them out in the wilds.
