I think my turtle is ok, but i want to run this by the experts to get some other opinions and see if anyone has seen this before. Please don't reply if you don't have a firm idea of what this might be.
it's super-cold here right now so my turtle, Al, has been inside for some days. He's usually dry but is soaked daily. Today i put him into water to soak and he passed something weird- it was BRIGHT FREAKING YELLOW like organic egg yolk, and very very shiny. it stayed together in a mass when i picked it up to get a closer look at it. It appeared to be some clear mucus and some of this yellow stuff.
Al will not eat when out of his habitat so he hasn't eaten in several days. I just tried offering him food again with no luck. Any one here ever seen this stuff before? Should I worry about this?
He is still active, not sunken-looking or lethargic. So i am pretty sure he's not dying, i've just never seen anything like this come out of his butt before.
p.s. my shift key is broken, please excuse the horrible capitalization errors.
