What are your plans as far as filtration? With that much water you're going to have to go not just large, but massive!

It'd be less expensive you purchased a pond filter. The FX5 is rated for 400 gallons , so depending on how often you want to clean it decide between 2-4.

You'd want to look into a strong pond filter instead of a multiple canisters.

Laguna Pressure-Flo 2100 Laguna Pressure-Flo 3200

Rated for 2100 gallons Rated for 3200 gallons

You can find these for under $300. Maybe someone else knows a good pond filter brand. This was taken from the first hit off google.

I second (or third) a pond filter. You could also look at a Pondmaster.

I have to say not bad at all for a cell phone pic! but i like it very much. Are you going to be able to feed say a discharge from the filter to the top of the rocks (in the middle i see a depression) and let water go down that?

Looking good, that basking rock looks to be pretty large. How big would you say? Cant wait to see it finished up. Good work!

Wow!!!! Is that like a cavern area in the back for the turtles to swim through? And are we going to see a waterfall coming down over the rock wall in back?

yes, there will be a waterfall, you can see the black tubing laying on the floor of the pond. the tubing is fished up through the wall of rocks and water will be pumped up. the basking rock is a pretty good size. its like a small sized boulder.

I think you should set it up as a turtle resort and then we could send our turtles there for vacation.
