General Care Discussion :: i'm cleaning my water tomorrow. i have an important question

i maintain my water really well. and in the past few days, i've noticed that in the water, there is some oily top layer, but the rest of it looks clean & clear. i'd like to know what it is. And if it's not such a good thing, what could i do to deal with it?

It's usually more visible if you feed in the tank but using your filter to agitate the water surface should take care of it.

thanks, so the food is causing it? cuz my baby turtle cant eat them whole and lil particles fall down to the bottom.
