Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I think a lot also has to do with how well the owner has covered the basics like temperatures, appropriate basking spot, clean water, etc. I have to say, Pumpkin has done a superb job of nursing John back to health again! ;)

I agree Pumpkin has done a great job. If I were a turtle I'd want someone like Pumpkin taking care of me!

y'all are going to make me blush... :)

i think i really just lucked out. there are a lot of people here that lost their little ones even with good care and early treatment. i don't think i'm anymore special than them.

i am very very very glad that he is getting better, though. he attempted to bite me when i tried to give him his baytril shot yesterday. woohoo!!! he's getting that feistyness back. still hasn't gone for the rosies yet, i think he's still really upset about being in the smaller tank.

he attempted another escape today =Þ when i took him out for sun fortunately i caught him *just in time* thanx to the cat running over to him. i pushed her out of the way and got him right before he burrowed. *oh the drama!*
