Squirtle suddenly showed weird behavior last night and i was kinda concern but i didnt think much of it til today when it hit me hard. my sister called me up and told me that he wasnt responding at all and first thing came to my mind was this morning he wasnt moving at all hes was just floating kinda lop sided a bit but he was moving a little but my sister rushed him to the herp vet but the doc wasnt there so she went to another vet place wasnt a herp but they tried everything and sadly........
Squirtle passed away...i feel like its my fault..i hope he can forgive me for not paying close attention when i should of.

Rest in peace my lil friend...

Man, I'm so sorry. :( That really stinks. You tried your hardest to nurse him back to health.

Dont beat yourself up for it, me and everyone else on this forum know how HARD and DEDICATED you were with taking care of squirtle while he had all that gravel in him. You did all you could, these things happen..Is it your fault? No, its not..I'm sorry, It was his time to go..

But for now just focus on quinn, I'm sure that is what squirtle would have wanted..

I went through the same thing (my new UVB light irritated my turtles eyes) but their eyes are better now. Quinn's eyes should get better in a couple of days, maybe even a week. That's good that quinn is fine though.

But by restless what do you mean? Pissed? Like he is hissing at you? Because thats what they do when they are mad..

Oh, I'm sorry about squirtle, you did such a noble job trying to nurse him back to health, sadly sometimes turtles are just too ill to respond.
I'm glad that Quinn is still doing well, he's lucky to have a good turtle owner :-)

Oh no! How sad! You did everything that could have been done for the little guy. If he could have been saved the measures you took would have done it. You should take comfort in having done such a good job. Sometimes there's just nothing that can save them.

I think xsavingsaturdayx was right - you should focus on quinn now. By the way, did quinn ever get an xray to see if she had swallowed any gravel?

I feel your pain, my leopard gecko just recently passed away and it's really hard to get over the death of a little companion. One of my friends keeps pressuring me to get him a necropsy, but i told him, i don't want it, i just couldn't do that to violate him. And yet he keeps pressuring me. Oh well.

Sorry to hear about your loss, we salute Squirtle!
