I was able to get a very roomy 10 gallon tank at wal-mart for $10 dollars. A great price compared to $15-$20 at places like PetsMart. If you have a 1'-1 1/2' Hatchling, you should go to wal-mart for this low-priced 10 Gallon tank, by REGENT.

I don't consider 10 gallons very roomy...and you will find your turtle outgrowing it fast. Honestly, for less money you could have gotten a rubbermaid container. Then the extra could have been put towards a bigger set up.

Something to think about in the near future when your turt outgrows the 10 gallon! And, it's better than nothing! Do you have any pics?

a 10 gallon is the same size no matter where you get it.... just because it seems "roomy" to you doesn't mean it seems so to the turtle.

I've gotten 10-gallon tanks at yard sales for about $2 each (one had a lighting fixture included). The last 10-gallon I got was on the side of the street waiting to be pick up by the recycling truck (it's in vg condition). Tanks are standard size (all 10 gallons are the same and really are quite small) unless you have one custom made.

I have one, the thing is the space..I have two 5 inch turtles( i think, havent measured them in a while) but when i think about the filter, uvb.and all that, well where its going to fit?lol.
especially when my turtle will benefit from the uvb light i will get and start growing...So i've been of where to put them next...Plus the bottom part is that i have two females....
