i got some floating plants, a mini crab, and a crayfish to add to my tank. since my turtle won't eat the pellets, he's happily crunching on the plant. and i added the crab and crayfish to clean up the junk at the bottem. been a day, been no problem yet. should there be?

Yea, I tried putting a crayfish in with my turtles when i first got them. I even made him a special hideout where he could be safe from the turtles, but he disappeared within a couple of days. :(

is there a possibility that my turtle is just not an aggressive turtle? all he does is hide in the leaves and eats some of it. he acts like the crab and crayfish don't exist. maybe they'll be around for a while? hah

How much bigger is your turtle than the crab and crayfish? If they are close in size your turtle may ignore them and eventually get used to them as tank mates. I say "may" but it's not likely. Like iac637 said, once those guys molt they are very vulnerable. But then again, even their hardened shells are no match for a turtle's beak. That's another thing, crustaceans are pretty sensitive to water quality.

Be careful your turtle doesn't get nipped by the crab.
