Right now i have a 20gal. tank for my 1-7/8" turt. should i upgrade now to like a 50 gal. or should i wait and upgrade as my turt needs it.

Just keep in mind that you will eventually need a 120 gallon tank, so how often you upgrade is up to you. Also, upgrading could also mean more powerful filters, heaters and lighting. If you use plastic containers, you can save a lot of money at the end.

OK, I have the fluval 304. Its a well-built filter that is very quiet. It's easy to setup and cleaning it is not so bad once you get used to it. However, mine occasionally leaks. Even after I had the casing replaced, it would still leak sometimes. Since it has caused a mess on a few occasions, I cannot recommend it. I'd look at the XP2 or XP3 as alternatives.
