Habitat - Indoor :: Turtle Topper experience?

Has anyone used the Turtle Topper with their RES?

The reviews seem pretty good, though there are complaints about the ramp (I think this would be an easy fix). Any comments...good and bad experiences? My tank is wider than the 'standard' 13" so I already know I will have to do som Macgyver-like work...any experience or suggestions with this specifically?

They work OK for small turtles but as your tank & turtle gets larger they aren't really adequate. If you search this forum, there's lots of posts about turtle toppers on here. Many have gotten creative in how they adapt the mounting for larger tanks.

Thanks for the info! My Lightning is about 5"? and, supposedly two years old? I will go check the thread out. It never occurred to me to search 'turtle topper'...long day...blonde...tired...
