a little over 8ft long and a little under 3ft wide. Filter right now is 300gph pond pump flowing into an old fluval fish tank filter. I just got this running a few days ago. So there is lots left to do. Just thought I'd share.

Going to Lowe's tonight to start on the permanent filtration setup. I'm doing a canister/ waterfall.

That's nice! Did you use a pond liner?

grrrrr... photobucket... haha yea that's my daughter's quad and a little pit bike to roll around camp. Have some other toys, Jeeps, quads, bikes etc... Anyhoo, I took the pond pump and piped it into a Fluval 305 Canister that the motor quit working. So recycled a junk filter for a $20 total. Free filter, $17.99 pump and some cheap tubing from Lowe's. I haven't decided on a heater for the winter yet. They are in a non air conditioned part of my house and have some direct sunlightfor basking. Works awesome right now, definitely a heat lamp and water heater for winter because I don't keep my house real warm in the winter.

Impressive. You might be able to get a pond heater from the same place you bought the pond although I'm not sure how turtle proof they are because they usually are used to keep the koi from dying. Either way, awesome stuff. :)

What about running my canister filter or my pond pump thru a 5 gallon bucket with a heater in it?

That's a thought. How many gallons do you have in the pond though and where would you put the bucket (I'm just thinking if the space isn't heated so well that the bucket may be put through extra stress)?
