Which lamp should I have my UVB and UVA bulbs in? What would be the best for Sandy?

What kind of heat lamp are you using? Usually there is a wattage rating listed for the bulb you can use.

Well it depends on a lot. What uvb bulb. What heat bulb. And basking area temp? Most uvb bulbs like yours need to be pretty close 12" etc. Which the box should tell you. The heat bulb needs to be close enough so your basking area is around 90 or so. Give or take. I would put the uvb in the small one and the heat in the big one. Once again as Steve said the lamp rating should be on it as far as the wattage that can be used in that fixture. I use the small one for uvb on my small tank. And the big one for heat. Incandescent regular light bulb for heat. It works for me. Your turtle looks to be in a real small tank. How big is it ? And how big is your turtle? The water level is not near deep enough for your turtle to swim? Is this the main tank? Steve, I can't believe you missed that small tank with next to no water.

Ok calm down lol, no it's not the main tank, that would be the 110 gallon on the right to it (you can see it in the photo). For now, he is in a 30g. As for the lights, the UVB bulb is a Reptile UVB 100 by ExoTerra (23 watt), and the heat bulb (just a regular household bulb) is 17 watt, which is really small I think so soon I''l be putting a 75 or 100 in it. The big lamp is rated for 200 watt, and the small one I think is 60 watt.

Anyways, like I said, Sandy is in a tank that is too small ATM but I am going to be putting him in a 110 gallon soon, which will be more then enough as he is a male.

65 or 75 watt should work as long as you check the basking temp. So how many turtles do you have now? I would still recommend raising the water levels in your tanks and buying a good filter/ filters.

5, sold one. Hoping to sell them all except Sandy (I had for pretty much my whole life) and Squirt (native species, illegal to do transaction thing or whatever all I know is it's LEGAL to give her away for no cash or other things). Soo I may give Squirt away. If she's a female, then absolutely. If he's a male, then perhaps I may keep him... Is this ignorant? I hope nobody judges me... :/ Here come the suggestions?

Anyway, I got a 100W. It's in the big lamp which is rated for 200W. It throws a ton of heat, still haven't got a thermometer, and before you tell me they're cheap, I already know. I'm getting one ASAP
