Habitat - Indoor :: Indoor Pond?

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Post Posted: Wed Sep 03, 2014 7:54 pm   Indoor Pond?

Hey guys, my brother moves out in a month, which means for Christmas I'm getting an indoor pond. I wanted to do a 125+ gallon indoor stock tank. I've seen a ton of pictures of indoor ponds and they're so amazing.
I'm completely new to indoor ponds and big tanks like this.
Does anyone have any advice/links/pictures/ideas?
Thanks.

I've looked at a ton of pre formed liners, and the only one I liked was this one

I can't seem to find that liner, or how many gallons it holds, or the measurements of it.

I think MacCourt preformed ponds are the most common. These usually don't have great depth, so that is something to consider. Some people have made similar habitats with stock tanks.

I would love this, and so would Penny I'm sure. I don't think I could keep our cats out of it though.

Brian

We rescued 5 turtles two days ago and they have a outdoor kiddy pool. It's even more urgent to find a good pond now. :(

Good luck with your search and your turtles! I would love an indoor pond as well but I don't have the room and I would feel more comfortable if there was concrete beneath my floor.

I understand how you feel. Having them outside is nerve wrecking. The smallest is inside though :)

I'm sure they are. Sending you good thoughts though from one turtle momma to another turtle parent. :)

Three went missing.
I'm going out to look for them again right now. It's been 15 hours since they went missing in a fenced in backyard

Can they climb out of the pool? Or do you think someone got in?

I think something got them or they got out. I'm having major doubts that they'll be back.
