That's the funniest sleeping pose I've ever seen! I wonder if blood rushes to turtle's brains like it does with humans.

Beautiful pics! If that UVB is a 5.0 he should be ok.....just watch for any signs of eye swelling. I have a 10.0 that's 12" from the basking spot and I now suspect that it may have irritated their eyes.

Great pictures i must say!!! the only comment i have is just try to bring that water level up a lil bit more, it'll provide more room to get outa the sleeping space.

Wow nice pics. His red strip is a really bright color... My turtle's "red ears" arent even red anymore... More like a really very light pink... Why is that? Hmm...
PEBBLES: Given away, assumed current mood of pebbles in his new huge pond home: Happy.
Currently learning to "ride to waves"

I wish i had a turtle. Hm. I love turtles.

I heard that feeding turtle carrots can promote the bright red stripe on their cheek, I fed it to my turtle sometimes, have you given it a try? they love carrots :)

I've never heard about that ,but do we really care how bright that stripe is? I think Jen posted her turtle and the turtle's underside had turned orange from carrots.
