my borhter breeds mice, and his latest batch (a couple days old) is big. well my dog got in his room while he was changing them and trampled them haha. so about 5 are dead. i was wondering if it would be ok if i fed one of the dead ones to my turtle?

I wouldnt feed mice to a turtle, skip it and feed him some cooked chicken as a treat instead.

I'd assume the fur and those nails would be hard to digest so I don't think you should do it. Unless of course you'd like to cut the mouse up, cook the meat and then feed it to him?

I read it, but I didn't make the connection of the rat cycle. haha I pictured them coming out of the womb a foot long and all hairy. Well still, I think it's best to stick with feeder fish....

I can't imagine why you'd think that was funny.

I will sometimes give my female adult bearded dragons a frozen/thawed pinky mouse after she's laid her eggs to help her regain her strength and weight since producing and laying eggs takes a lot out of her. They're a good source of protein and some fat as well as other nutrients, but it's not something you'd want to feed too often. It would also be pretty messy meal for the turtle.

Ya, I also don't see what's so funny about a dog trampling some baby mice. :?
