Hi,

i have reported napoleon's RI before for which he got treated and he's not breathing abnormally or anything. However, now he doesn't seem to be remotely interested in food (which is very abnormal because he used to grab food out of louise's mouth) or swimming (even if i gently push him into the water, all is does is float for some time and then come back to assume his position on the rock)
I've tried the medication (antibiotics, multivitamins) that the vet gave me for the Respiratory Infection but nothing seems to be happening. He's not eaten now for about 3 days.

HELP!

His eyes also appear to be swollen, for the past 6 to 8 hours

How long ago was he diagnosed with the RI? If you have meds left it sounds like you didn't complete the antibiotic course. It's possible the RI was never fully treated or has simply returned. Either way, it sounds like Napoleon needs another trip to the vets.
Good luck.

I agree with megcornell. Napoleon's behavior is just not right. If you get him to the vet quickly maybe you can keep it from getting much worse.

Good luck.

Yeah, my turtle (also a Napoleon) was treated for RI with oral meds and it came back after a couple months. If they haven't already, have the vet show you how to do injections. Most likely my Napoleon didn't recover fully because he didn't swallow the full dosage the first time. He also stopped eating, which was my clue that something was wrong; at the time I didn't know a thing about RI. A good vet will know what to do.

I just got 2 red eared sliders a couple of days back.. Their names are Pebbles and Bubbles.. Bubbles is very active n keeps running round the tank the whole day, n hides immediately if smeone comes too close.. I feedthem stickies n he eats them properly..

However, my main worry is Pebbles.. He was fine the day i got him.. But since the past 2 days, he just sits on the rock in the tank n keeps sleeping.. He does not respond.. He moves his legs when i take him in my hand.. He DOES NOT even eatanything.. If I put him in water, he keeps floating for a while n then goes back to the rock, n dozes off..

IS somethin wrong with him??? I am really worried.. I dont want him to die.. Someone PLZZZZZZZZ help...
